As a child, she literally stood on an overturned orange crate to ring in sales on the cash register of the family sporting goods store in North Vancouver.
Judy worked after school in retail, maintained inventory, and learned to keep the books.
Her parents were careful to instilled the principled belief that the "customer is always right".
But it wasn't all work!
On weekends the family trekked up to Whistler, some of the first pioneers to blaze a trail down the flawless powder.
