Classroom sessions are held several times during the year, our schedules are tailored to accommodate working individuals in Virginia. Therefore earning your pre-licensing real estate education will not interfere with your current work schedule. NVRE University provides 60 hours of classroom education that meets the state requirements to apply for a real estate agent license in Virginia.

In addition NVRE university offers an extensive one days preparation course for the National & State Examination (PSI). Virginia Administrative Code Title 18 addresses the licensing regulations and requirements. Real estate licensing requirements are presented in section 54.1-2105 of the Code of Virginia. The general administrative and educational requirements for real estate salesperson licensing in Virginia are summarized in the Resources section.

It is required by the state that all brokers and salesperson, who have renewed their license at least once, to complete state approved continuing education to renew or activate their license.
At NVRE University, we offer the required continuing education for Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.
The remaining 8 hours may be in Real Estate related subjects(electives) or in the required continuing education subjects already referenced.
These continuing education requirements also apply to those that want to activate their license.
You must complete 60 hours of Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) approved Real Estate Principle Courses.
Take the Virginia Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam; You must take both portions of the state and national exams.
After taking the state and national exam, you must take the PSI exam within 12 months, and pass.
Once you have met all of the above requirements, you can send you must complete an application and send it to DPOR with all application and documents required by them.
The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the practice of home inspection.
You will find straightforward descriptions of property structure, grounds, and systems.
The students will learn the functionality of every part of the building as well as the functionality of the different systems.
Upon graduation, the students will be able to identify the different failures and defects at the property and they will be able to provide the client with the proper recommendations for repair and/or maintenance.
Biannually - A license holder shall have completed 16 contact hours of continuing professional education during each certificate renewal cycle, per 18 VAC 15-40-72.
Licensees wishing to obtain that designation would need to submit the appropriate application to the Board accompanied by proof that they have completed the NRS training module.
All home inspectors are required to complete 30 hours of continuing professional competency education per license renewal term.
However, the requirement does not apply to the first renewal of a home inspector license.
