By promoting the highest standards of Professionalism, Ethics, Education, and Technology, the Association will ensure that the REALTOR members are the primary source for real estate services in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS has served as the "Voice of Real Estate" in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina for more than 100 years, issuing statistical analysis of market conditions, offering legislative support to its members and the industry at large and serving as the premier resource for all things real estate in the tri-county and outlying areas.
Services
Your continuing education (CE) requirements are broken up into three areas-LLR, CTAR and NAR Triennial Ethics Requirements.
This is the state-mandated course that ALL agents must complete (your choice of two or four hours) to renew your license.
These courses will count towards your elective course requirements for either LLR or CTAR requirements.
These courses focus on property management and will count towards your elective course requirements for either LLR or CTAR requirements.
You do not have to be a property manager to attend these courses.
The following 3 Hour CE Elective is offered free of charge to all CTAR BICS thanks to recent NAR Safety Grant Funding.

This 2 day course explores negotiation strategies, techniques and provides resources that improve outcomes for all parties, resulting in smoother transactions and enhanced satisfaction from clients and customers.
This course will provide detailed information on the NAR Code of Ethics Structure and purpose as well as the pathways to professionalism program.
It is intended to enhance the licensee's performance and professionalism in all real estate communications and transactions.
This course clarifies the differences between requirements in the S.C. Code of Laws / Real Estate Practice Act and those of a Code of Ethics from a professional organization such as the National Association of REALTORS.
Four case studies highlight the course.
REALTORS are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles.
These live CE courses at CTAR satisfy the ethics requirements for NAR and provide elective CE credit as well.
