Whether you are buying or selling your home or property, the process requires time, effort, experience and skill.
A REALTOR can lend a helping hand throughout the entire process and help you make an informed decision.
REALTORS advise, assist and educate clients on a variety of issues and topics including pricing of a property, preparing a property to sell, required forms and disclosures, negotiating the contract, and closing of the sale.
Unlike many real estate agents who are licensed by the state they do business in, REALTORS have taken additional steps to become members of the local association of REALTORS and have agreed to act under and adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.
As required by its charter with the National Association of REALTORS the Columbia Greene Board of REALTORS has formal procedures for addressing and resolving any matters of contention brought to our attention in an expeditious and equitable manner.
Please realize that mediation may be the quickest solution to your request as well as a win/win for both parties.
Contact the Board for further direction.
The code spells out the professional responsibilities and expectations of NAR's 1 million Realtor members to their clients, customers, fellow Realtors and the general public.
Advocating for Homeownership is a primary responsibility of REALTORS around the country.
Every day we work hard to ensure that owning a home remains part of the American Dream.
Between fight to keep costs lower by lobbing against increased Mortgage Recording Taxes or avoiding costly mandatory home purchase requirements, REALTORS are supporting the ways and means to help home buyers and sellers.
It is the Code of Ethics that separates REALTORS from other licensees and we take enforcement of the Code very seriously.
Ethics complaints may be filed by REALTORS or members of the public.
Ethics complaints serve to educate members as well as provide a disciplinary process when violations have occurred.
Any person having reason to believe that a member is guilty of any unethical conduct subject to disciplinary action may file a complaint in writing with the Local Board/Association of REALTORS that the member holds membership in.
