Karen was born and raised in Seattle and took the long way to Idaho via San Diego, where she worked as an administrator at UCSD Medical School setting up medical clinics, and as a liaison in 13 California school districts, answering directly to superintendents about the needs of special education children.
Once in Idaho, Karen started the first PTA in Valley County with a membership of 200.
Karen has been a real estate agent in Idaho since 1992.
