Liaison to government officials and managing project applications for General Plan Amendments, Zoning Changes, EIR's, Tentative Maps, Master Plans, CUP's and other discretionary reviews in Southern California cities and counties and with the California Coastal Commission.

As Vice President of Community Development for the California Coastal Division of Lennar, I have engaged the services of GSI on two complex and controversial projects.
Under the leadership of Carol McDermott, Coralee Newman and their team, Lennar obtained approval of the Newport Beach Planning Commission and City Council as well as the California Coastal Commission for a 79-unit luxury condo project in Newport Center overlooking the Newport Beach Country Club.
The project was complex because of Coastal Commission reluctance to approve a residential project in a vistor-serving zone and because of concerns by the golf course operators regardng interface between golfers and residents.
