In some way, we will all make a difference today, and for me, this is it. I am here to help you, perhaps to get through a major life transaction, or just for a brief consultation. You are the heart of the work I love.
I have put this site together for you, to provide you with the tools you need for a successful real estate purchase or sale. Services
I love my job.
I chose to become a Realtor because it allows me full expression of my strongest skills: artistic presentation, market analysis, residential contracting, face-to-face negotiation, and client advocacy.
I love the swirl and chaos of a real estate transaction; the interplay with lender, appraiser, inspector, and engineer.
I love my clients.
To me, my relationship with you - my client - is of paramount importance, not the size of your house or the name of your street.
Almost 100% of the time, the client makes the first call to me - that is, you call me because you have worked with me before, because you have been urged to call me by a friend or neighbor, or because you have seen or heard of my work on other properties.

My general philosophy is that I am here as a resource for you, as the informed and experienced instrument through which you complete your purchase or sale.
I am here to listen to you, to understand what you need, and to apply my own considerable expertise, energy and enthusiasm to making that happen.
I don't expect you to know what to do; that's my job.
I educate you and present your options for every step of the process, but I don't hesitate to voice my opinion of the best course of action.
That's what I'm paid for, and that's why I have such a good track record.

In the 25+ years since beginning my real estate career in 1988, I have consistently been ranked within the top echelon of local residential Realtors.
Year in and year out, every single year of my career, I have been acknowledged as a leader in client service and sales results.
From 1995 to 2009, I was affiliated with Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
During that time, I received Coldwell Banker's International President's Circle Award, for "exemplifying the highest commitment to professional integrity, marketing expertise, and exceeding client expectations."

I am licensed to sell real estate anywhere in California.
However, I specialize in San Francisco's East Bay Area.
I work almost exclusively by client referral and repeat business, so I will travel to the neighborhood where I am needed.
In other words, if you sell your modest West Berkeley cottage to build your dream home on a double lot in the Oakland hills, I will assist you with both.
Even in areas beyond those listed above, I am open to helping you as far as I am able.
If I am not able to help you, let's chat about your needs and I will be happy to make introductions to the perfect agent for you.

I was born in Southern California, in a small town called Alpine, in the foothills of the mountain range which separates the coast from the desert.
My brother, sister, and I ran around barefoot and helped care for our dairy goats, pigs, chickens, and beeves.
Every summer, our schoolteacher parents took us backpacking in the high Sierra.
I carried my first pack when I was 5.
These are my parents in 1956 shortly after they married, and in 2006 on their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mom used to be an Ironman triathlete, and now plays cello and Viola de gamba with the Acme Chamber Music Ensemble in Alpine.
