Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust (WHLR) was formed with the primary objective of acquiring, developing, leasing, owning and managing income producing assets such as neighborhood centers, grocery-anchored centers, community centers and free-standing retail properties.

WHLR's portfolio consists of strategically selected properties that are located primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Southwest regions of the United States, and are generally leased by nationally and regionally recognized retailers of consumer goods (Food Lion / CVS / Kroger / Aldi).Our specialties include, but not limited to Acquisitions, Development, Leasing and Property Management.

M. Andrew Franklin has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and currently serves as interim Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to his current appointment, he served as Chief Operating Officer since 2018 where he oversaw the acquisitions/dispositions, leasing, property management and lease administration departments for the portfolio with additional responsibilities include the management of all property level debt and financing.
Prior to joining Wheeler, Andrew was a Partner with Broad Reach Retail Partners where he ran day-to-day operations of the company, managing the leasing team as well as overseeing the asset, property and construction management of the portfolio.
Wheeler Real Estate Company, established in 1999, provides commercial real estate leasing and management services for its 60 regional and neighborhood shopping centers primarily located in stable and proven secondary and tertiary markets throughout the United States.
And for the past 20 years, it's how our firm has developed a reputation for honest work, solid relationships and strong ethics.
