After graduating high school, he studied management and marketing at the University of Alaska.
He continued to educate himself in his spare time on real estate investing and management.
He purchased his first investment property at the age of 19 and, after graduating with a BBA from the University of Alaska, Michael became a Resident Manager with Weidner Property Management.
Two years later, he left Weidner to join Buyers Real Estate where he worked to build the management side of the company.
