To help Consolidated kick off Realtist Week, I got an invitation to speak from the pulpit of Ward AME church, one of the oldest AME churches, to let the congregation know our plans for the week and to invite everyone to join us.
I was also able to make a shout out on the WAVE.
We were going to be busy.
Knolly Williams addressed a full zoom room with the topic, "Learn how I got 1000 listings and you can to."
Knolly, from Texas, in his signature Stetson hat hoed in on secrets leveraging your brand to Make Money Every day.

We did a very poignant event with our own CAREB President, Denise Mathis as part of a panel discussion talking about racial equality and discrimination.
With less than 24 hours into the planning, we had over 100 participants on the zoom meeting, and it was also shared on Facebook and Instagram.
The topics were wide ranging and included important issues like Appraiser bias.
Stay tuned because the whole thing was such a success that we're considering doing it monthly on a social media platform and maybe Clubhouse.

Having thrived (not just survived) over twenty-three years a Realtor(C), there are a few really simple things that keep me going.

Go after your business using Money-Making Activities EVERY day.
For me as a listing agent, that means getting back on the street; knocking on doors; letting my farm see that I'm still the one in charge on my farm.
I use a coach and you might want to consider one - someone that not only fine tunes your strategy and guides your tactics but also keeps you on your toes by holding you accountable for events and activities.

In 1949, a group of young dynamic African-American real estate Brokers gathered to discuss the inequitable and prejudicial treatment of Brokers in the Los Angeles area.
African-American Brokers in Los Angeles were being denied membership in local real estate boards and trade organizations.
In addition, they were being prevented from marketing properties in certain areas of the city and even denied access to open houses for viewing by their clients.
It was patently clear to this group of Brokers assembled that a collective effort would be required to mitigate these obstacles to their professional success.
