Highlands is blessed with six excellent private country clubs; Cullasaja Club, Highlands Country Club, Highlands Falls Country Club, Old Edwards Club, Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club and Wildcat Cliffs Country Club.
Membership costs at the various Highlands country clubs range from approximately $60,000 to $105,000 with annual dues from $5000 to $15,000.
Featuring less than 300 homes, Cullasaja Club offers members "Simply the Perfect Life".
Members enjoy an active lifestye.
The Activity Center features a fitness are and a golf training system.
Fitness opportunites provide a time for members to enjoy Pilates, clogging classes and water aerobics.

Highlands Falls Country Club is a 550 acre private, member-owned, gated club surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest.

The scenic golf course was designed by famed golf course architect Joe Lee.
His vision was to incorporate the natural beauty of the mountains into the design of the 18 hole course.
Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club is a private, equity membership, mountain retreat focusing on golf, mountain lake recreation and unforgettable family fun.
The mountain-lodge style clubhouse is the gathering spot for members.

Old Edwards Club is a 6,699 yard, par 71 course located at Highlands Cove that was designed by Tom Jackson of Greenville.
The Highlands Cove facility was recently purchased by the Old Edwards Inn and has been converted from a public facility to a private club for the use of members and Old Edwards Inn guests.
An extensive renovation of the course was completed in 2009.
The front nine features elevated tees that showcase great views and provide for downhill shots that drop to undulating greens.
The front nine is known as the 'Highlands Course' because of its mountainous terrain.
