Growing up in Western MA was wonderful but as an avid outdoor person who needs the sun I decided to take a trip to Southport/Wilmington and immediately fell in love with the area.
I used to be an avid day hiker and mountain biker but because this area is flat I quickly adapted and now kayak, walk and run along the seashore.
The kayaking in Brunswick County is amazing; you can experience all kinds of wildlife in the Lockwood Folly River, if you like sea kayaking the Marsh Savannahs that lead to the Atlantic might be for you.
