He earned under-graduate and graduate degrees in Agricultural Education and Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin at Platteville, and was the Agricultural Instructor at Pepin High School for 10 years.
Following this was a career in agricultural lending & appraisal, then as a sales engineer in the plastics industry focusing on the building trades.
He entered the field of real estate sales in the late 90's and, along with Linda, eventually established the Lake Pepin Real Estate Office in Pepin.
