He has been a licensed agent since 1987.
He took over the reigns as managing broker in 1991 from his father, Steven Makitra Sr., who founded the company in 1972.
Under Steve's leadership, the company has built a sound reputation as a trusted and reliable brokerage in the Southern Tier.
Steve has handled countless deals over the years and has developed a skill set that benefits his clients throughout the real estate transaction process.

As a native New Yorker, and longtime resident of the southern tier, Tom has always had a passion for real estate and development.
Tom got his first taste of the industry working for a real estate company who worked directly with buyers and developers of coastal properties in the southeastern United States.
More recently, Tom has spent over ten years in the title industry, both as an independent contractor working on some of the largest oil and gas projects throughout NY and PA, and also as an employee for two of the areas most reputable title companies researching both residential and commercial transactions.
Tom got his first taste of the industry working for a real estate company who worked directly with buyers and developers of coastal properties in the southeastern United States.
