The Department of Real Estate requires that you take three (3) three-semester unit college-level courses.
Those courses are Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice and the third course is your choice from a list of required electives.

Each course has one final open-book exam that consist of 100 multiple choice questions.
You must achieve a 60% or better to pass.
Once the final exam is opened, you will only have 3 1/2 hours to complete the final.
If you have been timed out, you will be graded off the questions answered, and all unanswered questions will be marked as incorrect.
You may not log in and out of the final exam and you will not be able to hit the "back" button.
Logging out or hitting the back button will automatically submit your final to be graded and score will be based off questions completed.

To be qualified to apply for the Brokers Exam, you must complete 8 Statutory Courses and a minimum of two years full-time licensed salesperson experience within the last five years or the equivalent is required - OR - a four-year college degree with a Major or Minor in Real Estate.
You must be 18 years of age or older to be issued a license and be a legal resident in the United States.
NOTE: If both Real Estate Economics and Accounting are taken, only two (2) courses from the above group are required.
