We have provided expert witness testimony in Addison, Chittenden, Washington and Palm Beach County Superior Courts as well as Federal Bankruptcy Court. The appraisal firm was started in 1981 by William Benton.
A 1978 graduate of the University of Vermont with a BA in Economics, Bill obtained a real estate sales license and worked with Paul Heald at Foulsham Farms Real Estate selling unique country property in Chittenden and Addison Counties.Complementing his real estate position in sales, Bill participated in the first Vermont Housing Finance Agency/Home Mortgage Guarantee Board appraisal licensing course and exam.
The appraisal business was started in 1981 and the firm incorporated as W.D. Benton Inc., Appraisers in 1986. In 2020, Bill's son Will joined the firm as a certified residential appraiser. Will is a 2009 graduate of the University of Vermont with a BS in Business Administration.
