Recreation Realty was established in 1973 for the purpose of providing more comprehensive service to our clients. John Hensley, founder, had been selling real estate in the Nevada City, Scotts Flat Lake area since 1970 while working for a Bay Area company that did not have a home base in Nevada County. John wanted to provide a local team of service professionals, so in 1973 he opened his own Recreation Realty company at it's present location across from the Scotts Flat Lake turn off on Highway 20 east.
On Harmony Ridge - Hwy 20 at the gateway to both the Tahoe National Forest and Scotts Flat Lake, we share our building with the award winning Harmony Ridge Market. Just across Highway 20 is the historic Five Mile House. The scenic Pioneer Trail starts at our back door. With expanding business, the company added a second office at 432 Broad Street at the top of Broad in downtown Nevada City.
Thank you Nevada County for the impressive growth we have experience these last few years. Come meet with us at the top of Broad Street in historic downtown Nevada City or in our gateway to Scotts Flat Lake office.
