Hi, I'm Frank Konsella, and I'm the Crested Butte real estate agent above the rest. Real estate is a lot like climbing a mountain- you start with the research, then you take it one step at a time until you reach the summit. Reaching summits is what I do- both in real estate and in my spare time, as one of the few people to have skied all of Colorado's mountains over 14,000 feet.
Without experience, few people would attempt to climb a mountain without a guide. The same can be said of real estate- as your real estate agent I consider myself your guide through the process, helping you make smart and informed decisions throughout the transaction on the way to your goals. I serve the areas of Crested Butte, Mount Crested Butte, Crested Butte South, Almont, and Gunnison- all unique areas with slightly different markets, an important consideration for both buyers and sellers.
I specialize in all types of property including luxury homes, historic properties, townhomes, ranches, ski-in/ski-out properties, golf properties, condominiums, resort real estate, and vacant land.

Services
I moved to Crested Butte right after I finished my last final at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
I didn't even stick around for graduation- I was ready to get to Crested Butte.
I already loved to bike, and hike, and ski, and I knew Crested Butte was home for me.
Other things that I now know I love about Crested Butte took some time.
I didn't realize how much I love the slower and more relaxed pace of life here.
I didn't realize how important the strong sense of community in Crested Butte would become for me.

Crested Butte neighborhoods are diverse and distinct, and when you begin your home search, you will want to know which areas are right for you.
The neighborhoods in this area vary widely in terms of lot sizes, amenities, building styles, and even weather, which can change drastically in a matter of miles.
Golf addicts should check out Dos Rios in Gunnison and Skyland in Crested Butte.
For skiers, Gold Link, The Summit, and Prospect offer ski in/ ski out properties.
Looking for privacy and seclusion- Trapper's and Red Mountain are great places to start.

Almont, Colorado is located ten miles north of Gunnison and eighteen miles south of Crested Butte, where the East river meets the Taylor river to become the Gunnison river.
If you've ever wondered why the nearby 3 Rivers Resort got its name, now you know.
As you might guess, Almont is a river town, with rafting and fishing operations headquartered here.
The fishing on the Taylor river is well known as a trout hotbed, with the fishing below the Taylor dam producing several Colorado record sized trout over the years.

The Alpine Meadows community is located in the Slate River drainage, a few miles away from both Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte (see map).
Most of the subdivision is on Nicholson Lake Ridge Road, a quiet cul-de-sac.
This is an older subdivision, with modest homes from the 1970's as well as newer, larger homes.
Views from Alpine Meadows are some of the best you can find in the area, with Paradise Divide, the Slate River, Nicholson Lake and Mt Crested Butte all visible depending on the exact location of the land parcel.

The Buckhorn Ranch subdivision near Crested Butte is located in the beautiful Brush Creek drainage a few miles away from the town of Crested Butte.
Other neighborhoods in this area include Larkspur and Skyland.
Wide-open vistas are the rule here, with Whetstone Mountain dominating the skyline along with the backside of Crested Butte and Paradise Divide.
One of he key feature of this neighborhood is the airplane landing strip which allows true fly-in/ fly-out access to properties surrounding the airstrip, known as the Avion Club.
