Because of the years-long drought, trees (especially ponderosa and sugar pine) have been unable to defend themselves from the destructive bark beetles.
Many agencies are working to remove dead trees so that they don't pose a risk for fire, falling, etc.

While you won't find many chain stores or name brand businesses (no Starbucks, no drive-thrus!)
For any reservation made more than three weeks in advance, we will only charge the first $159.00 of your balance.
